Masters in Teaching and Learning – MTL

The MTL is a programme which accredits CPD and can lead to a masters degree. It is designed to support career development for teachers and helps to extend teaching skills and abilities by being practice-based, meaning the focus of the learning is on the classroom and school.

Over a period of three years, teachers carry out a range of activities which are directly related to their practice:

Teachers can take modules to be awarded a postgraduate certificate diploma or a full masters degree. It is also possible to take individual modules for your own professional development.

London Reach is the consortium which works together to provide the MTL for teachers in the region.

It includes three of the London region’s leading schools, one Local Authority, and three partners from Higher Education. Participants enrol for the common programme at one of three Higher Education Institutions – the Institute of Education, University of London; King’s College London and the University of East London.
